Who Can Have Laser Treatment?
Not everybody can be treated by laser, certain medical conditions can exclude you from treatment, and some medications, prescribed and herbal can cause adverse effects to laser light.
Make sure your laser practitioner is fully trained and provides you with a full consultation and patch test before doing any treatment on your tattoo.
Under no circumstances should clients who have any of the following conditions be treated:
- Pregnancy or Breastfeeding
- Heart Pacemakers Angina/Heart Disease
- Bleeding or Clotting Disorders
- Known Photosensitivity (eg: porphyria or Xeroderma)
- Skin Conditions (eg: Dermatitis, Eczema, Psoriasis, Inflammatory Rosacea, Dermographism)
- Skin Lesions (eg: Moles, Cuts, Grazes etc)
- Epilepsy
- Cancer - (ANY FORM, ANY TIME)
- Kidney Disease
- Keloid Scaring
- Vitiligo
- Melasma (Chloasma)
- Herpes or predisposition to herpes (Cold sores)
- Certain Medications
- HIV or AIDS
- Recent Surgery
- Skin Type V or VI
- Persons under the age of 18
Our experienced laser technician will complete a full consultation, and talk you through all the possible contraindications, and make sure you are suitable safe to receive treatments, please make note of any medications you are taking before coming to the studio for your consultation.
